3D Printing
The live-fire demonstration of the Bunker Rupture and Kinetic Explosive Round (BRAKER), comes only weeks after the initial design and rapid prototyping of the system, showcasing the Army's accelerated approach to innovation in the face of evolving threats.
C-UAS
The successful trial gives the French MQ-9 Reaper a new mission set. Long associated with intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and precision strike, the aircraft has now been used in an anti-drone role, engaging aerial targets rather than surface objectives.

Defence Secretary announces Cambridge Aerospace set to supply new interceptor missiles - known as 'Skyhammer' and launchers to the UK Armed Forces and Gulf partners.
Regulations
Anti-drone lasers used near the southern border by the U.S. military and Homeland Security to combat cartel drones are safe and shouldn’t necessitate airport closures, the Federal Aviation Administration announced after a review prompted by airspace closures in Texas earlier this year.
Weapons Systems / Lasers
The system employs a laser dazzler architecture that produces optical interference to disrupt drone sensors and visual navigation systems. By impairing onboard cameras and targeting optics, the platform offers a non-kinetic method of mitigating UAV threats without physically destroying the aircraft.

SMASH 2000LE (also known as SMASH 3000SA) is an enhanced configuration of Smart Shooter’s lightweight, handheld-operated fire control system, adding connectivity capabilities that enable integration with external sensors and battle management systems.

LOCUST X3 builds on lessons learned from widely deployed systems to set a new standard in modular, AI-enabled drone defense—delivering unprecedented precision, scalability, and operational flexibility to defeat current and emerging aerial threats.
Weapons Systems / Lasers
The Lyocon counter-drone system is designed to generate optical interference capable of disrupting UAV sensors and visual systems, enabling a non-kinetic mitigation approach against drone threats.
Weapons Systems / Lasers
The defining metric of effectiveness is no longer whether a system can intercept a drone, but whether it can do so affordably, repeatedly, and at the scale the threat demands. In essence, C-UAS is no longer defined by whether you can stop a drone, but whether you can afford to stop them all.
Military
The two semi-automatic .50 BMG (12.7 mm) rifles are both fed by a 10-round magazine, giving the drone a total ammunition capacity of 20 rounds. The system fires at a rate of approximately 25 rounds per minute. This low rate is due to the significant recoil generated by such a large caliber weapon.
Military
MQ-9Bs could launch from a number of friendly bases in the Western or Southern Pacific, fly to a hold point and loiter there outside a hostile power’s weapons engagement zone. The aircraft could launch its weapons in coordination with other U.S. or allied operations
