The Ukrainian Air Force has showcased an unmanned aerial system (UAS) built to intercept Iranian-designed Shahed drones widely used by Russia.

The first-person view drone launches from a mobile catapult with a simplified setup, enabling quick deployment even for troops with minimal drone training.

It sports a fixed-wing airframe, a carbon fiber shell, and a propulsion system tuned for long-range and high-altitude flights.

Crew training is ongoing, pilots are being trained. This was reported by the Air Command "West".

"We are expanding the training of drone interceptor crews. We are studying the experience of effective combat units, mastering new weapons. Our trained crews are already performing combat work to detect and destroy enemy UAVs in various regions of our country in areas near the line of combat contact,"

said the head of the group coordinating the use of unmanned systems of the West Air Command.

Units of drone interceptor crews have been created in the military units of the "West" air command. Crew training is ongoing, and pilots, foremen, mechanics, and sappers are being trained to equip drones with ammunition.
