UK-Made Infinity Tether Turns Drones Into Jam-Proof, 48-Hour Watchtowers
UK-based Evolve Dynamics has introduced the Infinity Tether, a short-range defensive drone system built to stay connected even when GPS and radio signals are under attack.
The system enables continuous drone surveillance for over 48 hours at altitudes up to 100 meters (328 feet), maintaining a steady 100 megabits per second wired data link through its tether.
The company described the tech as “rugged, lightweight, and intuitive,” highlighting its ability to keep drones flying and communicating through electronic warfare or radio-denial operations.
Because it transmits both power and data, the Infinity Tether eliminates the need for wireless links, making it virtually immune to jamming or GPS spoofing.
It can connect to either utility power or a field generator, supporting extended missions without battery swaps.

Persistent Power and Presence
The Infinity Tether is compatible with lightweight platforms such as the Sky Mantis 2 and Wolfe drones, which only weigh 8 kilograms (17.6 pounds) and 4 kilograms (8.8 pounds), respectively.
Evolve Dynamics listed the total system weight, including the operator console, at 13.2 kilograms (29 pounds), though it is unclear if that already includes a drone.
While designed for persistent flight on tethered power, the tool can switch to free flight through a feature called “Hot Drop.”
Once released, the drone can fly untethered for 30 minutes on its internal battery, giving operators flexibility and freedom to gain higher vantage points.

Hardwired Against Jamming
The Infinity Tether resists dust and light rain and can operate in temperatures ranging from negative 30 to 55 degrees Celsius (-22 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit).
Rated for winds up to 22 miles per hour (35 kilometers per hour), it maintains stability even in tough field conditions.
According to the company, the tech is suited for battlefield surveillance, border security, and base protection.
Its hard-wired communication link, extended endurance, and low logistical burden also make it suitable for long-term overwatch or perimeter monitoring missions.
