The RAF has accelerated the integration of laser-guided APKWS rockets onto Eurofighter Typhoons as Western air forces seek cheaper ways to counter drone saturation attacks.
The platform will undertake one-way attack missions in the military, and will be handed over alongside support services from field technical specialists
Its laser targeting capability allows anti-aircraft teams and drone operators to detect threats from up to 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) away, including in low-visibility or total darkness
Raptor Sync georegisters the full-motion video feed from the drone’s on-board camera with Vantor’s 3D terrain data in real-time, enabling accurate ground coordinate extraction at a demonstrated absolute accuracy of <3 m.
