Flying Dutchman Flies 100 Meters by Flapping His Wings

Jarno Smeets, a 32 year-old Dutchman and creator of the Human Birdwings Project, made history on Sunday with a record-breaking flight of over 100 meters in his local park achieved purely by flapping his wings.

After 8 months of hard work, research and testing his hard work had payed off. Interviewed just after landing, slightly out-of-breath but visibly emotional, he declared that the experience was "f*****g amazing!". Naturally, the exploit which was posted on YouTube, stirred a huge debate in the blogosphere about its authenticity, with various analyses by hang-glider and video experts proving that it was faked.

Later the Dutchman admitted on TV that his hoax was indeed was a social media experiment...
