The contract is for full-rate production for the counter unmanned aerial systems (cUAS), according to a release from CACI, and as part of the initial task order the company will deliver the SkyValor systems for deployment “at critical mission locations.”
The deal brings together Archer’s work on electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, unmanned aircraft and artificial intelligence with Boeing’s investments in autonomous flight and defence technologies.

Instead of carrying battery packs as separate components, the system stores electrical energy directly inside the airframe’s crossbeams.
